Katie Kennedy is the C&D diversion lead for the City of Seattle. Kennedy manages the city’s requirements around construction and demolition recycling and diversion, including material disposal bans, the mixed waste processing qualified facility program and waste diversion reports for building permits. She also works to increase building material reuse, salvage and deconstruction through programs, incentives and policies. Prior to working for Seattle Public Utilities, Kennedy built an extensive foundation in waste-related topics through her work as a consultant.
