Te Hua Lau is the director of sustainability and thermal engineering at United States Gypsum Company. Wiith over three decades of engineering experience, his career has been dedicated to pioneering sustainability efforts and leading technological implementation across diverse industries and in various countries.

Domestically, Lau has been responsible for the startup of ePTFE thin film production lines in Delaware and a pulp and paper plant in Kentucky. Overseas, he has managed the construction and startup of several facilities, including greenfield and brownfield wallboard plants in India and Vietnam and a greenfield ceiling tile plant in China.

Lau holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington, has multiple patents and is fluent in Mandarin.
